International Regulatory Reporting Execution Head

The International Regulatory Reporting Execution Head is a pivotal leadership role within Citi’s Finance organization. This individual will ensure the efficient execution of regulatory-driven reporting and systemic changes, focusing on regulatory reporting requirements and their operational impact. By leveraging a deep and diverse understanding of regulatory frameworks, financial operations, and technology, this person will assess, strategize, and implement solutions to address regulatory changes, ensuring full compliance while minimizing disruption to business-as-usual (BAU) processes. This role is about facilitating regulatory compliance through strategic oversight and operational excellence, across the International Regulatory Reporting space, reporting directly to International Regulatory Reporting Head in B&I.

The International Regulatory Reporting Execution Head’s team will deliver on Consent Order initiatives from a subject mater regulatory reporting perspective, drive data remediation solutions and enable agile approach to time sensitive provisional regulators requests.

What you’ll do:

• Regulatory Change Oversight:
  Assess the impact of regulatory-driven projects and major systemic changes on BAU processes and specific reporting requirements, ensuring comprehensive and efficient execution.
• Strategic Alignment:
  Develop and implement strategies that align regulatory requirements with Citi’s operational and technological capabilities, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal compliance.
• Impact Assessment and Integration:
  Lead efforts to analyze the interconnections of regulatory changes, evaluate their effects on reporting processes, and integrate solutions seamlessly across systems and teams.
• Operational Excellence:
  Ensure thorough and timely testing of systems, processes, and reports impacted by regulatory changes, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  Work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology, and Compliance to drive initiatives and address regulatory requirements effectively.
• Team Leadership:
  Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization:
  Drive the simplification, standardization and centralization of regulatory reporting processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.

What we’ll need from you:

• 15+ years of experience in Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Financial Consulting, Compliance, or Finance, with a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory environments in Europe, UK, Middle East and Africa.
• Demonstrated success in delivering results in multinational financial institutions.
• Diverse experience across countries with exposure to large, medium, and small legal entities within the organization.
• Ability to bridge Finance and Technology by understanding both the constraints and opportunities of technological implementations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience building and guiding high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement abilities, capable of influencing and collaborating across organizational levels.
• Familiarity with financial reporting systems, regulatory compliance frameworks, and translating complex financial requirements into technological solutions.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into actionable strategies.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
