OPS Process & Readiness Project Lead - C12
The Markets Operation Process & Readiness Project Lead is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the Markets function. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
This position has a responsibility to lead the change throughout the management of the Portfolio and implementation of strategic projects in the CSC for Markets Operations (19 countries) in order (a.) to improve the processes via automations, (b.) have a better control environment, (c.) improve operational efficiency and (d) reduce processing times.
This role must communicate with senior management from Business and OPS, cluster and country heads, Technology teams and other areas in ICG as TTS, ISG RSU, among others, to coordinate and influence them, aim to implement the strategic goals for the Markets OPS in CCA and LAS.
Responsibilities:
- Act as SME, analyzing the AS IS process of the markets products and defining/documenting the target operating model aim to automate and improved the control environment and improved the operational efficiency.
- Lead the definitions and document the Business Requirements Documents for automations in traditional platforms as product processors or alternative solutions as Xceptor or global platforms.
- Manage the portfolio of strategic projects, coordinating all efforts required to execute the projects in an organize manner and leading all teams from Operations and activities with tech and other cross-areas.
- Keep continue communication with Operations (CSC and Local OPS), Regional and Global Operation and technology to define requirements that fit to the needs and generate high value in the processes.
- Create and maintain a communication channel with Business, local Ops in countries and other stakeholders (regional and global) to provide data in details and management views to analyze performances.
- Communication with the senior management from Business and OPS, cluster and country heads, Technology teams and other areas..
- Ensure creation of project plan, Identify key stakeholders and ensure resources are assigned to project, ensure change control is executed, establish project communication needs and Track actual project execution
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Formulate procedures, techniques and contribute to the development of new techniques that increase team productivity, ensuring entire team meets or exceeds performance goals
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Services preferred
- Project Management experience
- Markets Operation experience preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage time efficiently; work on multiple projects and sub-tasks simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines.
- Team player, building strong partnerships and promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries
- Experience interacting with diverse teams to ensure that the policies are adequately translated into processes and continuous process improvement.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree
- Master’s degree or post/graduate studies, preferred
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
