Regulatory Exams :
Regulatory exams team, part of USPB Risk & Control Data support team primarily supports data requests for Regulatory exams. Regulatory Exams are official processes where the federal and the state regulatory bodies review, analyze and validate whether an organization adhered to the regulatory policies , so as to ensure consistent compliance with the rules and regulations. The Reg exams team is tasked with providing support in delivering of data population requested by the regulatory bodies.
Job responsibilities:
Regulatory Exam lead manages all the regulatory/adhoc data requests and ensure all the requests are delivered on time, and it is 100% accurate. Regulatory exam team's daily work involves data extraction, data profiling, and data analysis .The regulatory bodies provide a letter containing the details of the exam, which includes the description of population, the attributes, and the timeline. These exams are time sensitive with hard delivery dates, which requires recurring calls with the onshore team so that all questions and issues are addressed timely.
- Exploratory data analysis
- Requirement gathering and exam requirement understanding
- Finalize required fields for extraction
- Data Extraction and manipulation
- Final delivery validation and documentation
2. Support ad-hoc data extraction requests, analysis & insights generation requests across domains which involves deeper understanding of the data/business, identifying trends, correlations, patterns and anomalies.
Qualifications:
Project Management and interpersonal skills
- Strong Project Management skills with continuous effort to identify and overcome bottleneck.
- Ability to identify, clearly articulate and solve complex business problems and present them to the management in a structured and simpler form
- Ability to build connections, promote ideas and work collaboratively across all levels of seniority and across boundaries
- Well organized with excellent time management skills
- Self-motivated, focused, detailed oriented and able to work efficiently to deadlines are essential
Lateral thinker, with ability to manage change and analytical ability to recognize areas of improvement
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Confident, articulate and have a high degree of personal integrity
- Presentations to both technical and non-technical personnel including Senior Management
Tools and Platforms
- Proficient in SAS, SQL, RDBMS
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and VBA
- Jira, Bitbucket
- Mainframes
- Exposure to Big data, Python
Domain Skills
- Good understanding of banking domain and consumer products (Retail Banking, Deposit, Loans, Wealth management, Mortgage, Insurance, etc.)
Analytical Skills
- Thorough understanding of project and systems development lifecycle are essential
- Past experience in leading teams is essential
- Ability to articulate business problem statement into technical requirements
- Data analysis, Data profiling, Data Management skills
- MIS reporting and generate actionable Business Insights
- Past experience and proven capabilities in driving innovation and efficiencies is a must
Other Info:
- Education Level: Master’s / Advanced Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Applications/ Engineering/ MBA from a premier institute
- Overall experience of 8-12 years with 3+ years of experience in managing teams & delivering reporting/ data driven solutions,
- At least 5 year experience in Banking Industry
