Director: Analytics & Information Management (AIM) Wealth Lead - Business Analytics Sr Grp Mgr
This role is responsible for leading a team of 150+ analytics professionals in AIM India to deliver high-quality analytics projects for the Wealth business. The position involves:
- Leading the Wealth Analytics AIM Engagement: This includes setting the strategic direction for analytics within Wealth and managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Ensuring High Quality Analytics Project Delivery: This involves overseeing the delivery of analytics projects, ensuring quality control, and managing risks.
- Managing Analytics / AI/ML Talent: This includes attracting, developing, and retaining top analytics talent in a competitive market.
- Leading through high impact flagship projects for the Wealth business: This involves identifying and leading high-impact analytics projects that drive significant business value for the Wealth business.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading engagement with senior Wealth stakeholders to define the role and impact of analytics.
- Ensuring high-quality project delivery, including controls and oversight.
- Managing and developing a team of analytics professionals.
- Providing thought leadership and strategic decision-making for Wealth flagship projects.
Required Business Expertise
- Proven ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies that generate tangible returns for the Wealth business, such as improving RoTCE and driving NNIA growth.
- Strong people management skills to effectively lead and motivate a high-performing team of analytics and AI/ML professionals.
- Thought leadership to innovate and optimize the data and analytics ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of data and analytics ecosystems within a global banking environment.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, STEM, or a related field.
Preferred: Master's degree (e.g., MBA) in a relevant field.
20+ years of experience (15+ years in analytics), covering areas like marketing analytics, operations analytics, AI/ML, and project implementation.
Proven track record of leading and delivering analytics projects successfully.
Experience in managing and motivating high-performing analytics teams.
Experience collaborating with senior business stakeholders and navigating review functions.
Required Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for engaging with senior stakeholders, including Managing Directors within the Wealth business and review functions.
- Strong influencing skills to drive the adoption and implementation of analytics solutions across the Wealth business.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across different functions, including Operations, Risk, IA, and HR, to ensure the successful operationalization of analytics solutions.
