Team / Role Overview
The Citi Early Career Apprenticeships & Engagement Team comprises of program managers, recruiters and practice leads across the UK and North America, supporting Citi businesses in the attraction, selection and program management of apprenticeship and engagement hires. The Apprenticeships & Engagement Program Manager is a SME within the Early Career Apprenticeships & Engagement team. They are responsible for delivery of UK Apprenticeship Programs in partnership with HR colleagues and business stakeholders inclusive of attraction, selection and program management contributing to the execution of the overall strategy. They will also be required to support global Apprenticeship & Engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive and own specific Apprenticeship & Engagement programs. Leverage relevant HR & business partners to ensure effective execution of owned programs:
- Program manage Apprentice populations through managing well executed programs
- Partner closely with Global Head of Early Career Apprenticeships & Engagement on the delivery of all Programs
- Accountable for overall success of owned programs, reviewing effectiveness and processes against team objectives for continuous improvement
- Apply a strategic business mind-set to ensure programs are delivered in the most efficient and cost-effective way, measuring Return on Investment (ROI), and providing an unparalleled Apprentice experience
- Streamline communications and enhance engagement across internal and external platforms. Become proficient in using Citi’s Email Distribution Tool to launch programs.
- Develop marketing materials in partnership with Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA), helping promote apprenticeship programs.
- Lead on UK Apprenticeship marketing campaigns such as the National Apprenticeship Week in both Belfast and London. Work closely with the Talent Attraction and Engagement team to run campaigns to drive engagement
- Proactively partner with the HR Community, business stakeholders, training vendors and Program Management teams to ensure strong working relationships and best practice delivery of programs
- Act as key point of contact and partner with Citi’s UK vendors including Apprenticeship Training Providers
- Responsible for initiating, monitoring and overseeing the performance management process for program participants, this will include weekly reviews with training partners and vendors and proactively following up and supporting learners on the program.
- Ensure all program participants and managers are fully trained and briefed on all aspects of the program life-cycle.
- Analyse and report data in relation to learners, programs, Digital Apprenticeship Service account and other requirements set by the UK Government, such as Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted
- Attend and facilitate specific Apprenticeship related events as required
- Support broader activities as appropriate across the wider global Early Career team
What we’ll need from you:
- Strong Program Management experience
- Knowledge of HR and / or recruitment and prior experience navigating complex global models
- Understanding of apprentice market and experience managing apprentice and / or engagement Programs
- Relationship management experience and ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders across different geographies at all organisational levels
- Strong influencing and communication skills; easily consults and negotiates with internal and external stakeholders
- Understanding of developmental requirements of apprentice populations
- Able to identify continuous improvement opportunities through evidence backed decisions
- Risk awareness
- Understanding of financial services industry and culture an advantage
