Key Responsibility Overview:

The person in this role will lead an Enterprise wide project consisting of IA, Compliance, CAO, GCB, ICG, EO&T, Risk & Finance. They will be responsible and accountable for developing project plans, driving transformation, and coordinating the delivery of projects that have both significant business value and potential operational risk.They will also work with an extended team to monitor progress, evaluate, schedule, and allocate various resources. To be successful, this individual will need to be able to balance competing objectives in a complex business environment.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Engage with Enterprise organizations (i.e. ICG, Finance, Risk, etc.) to deliver on cross-functional projects and initiatives
  • Partner with functional teams to create a path to success – tasks, milestones
  • Provide transparency to senior leadership through regular updates 
  • Identify and manage dependencies
  • Ensure Project plans, implementations, and new builds are Audit-Ready
  • Activity and resource planning
  • Organizing and motivating a project team
  • Controlling time management
  • Calculating ROI
  • Analyzing and managing project risk
  • Maintain projects, maintaining plans, collecting updates, and publish status updates
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Document, obtain approval, and track all changes in project scope. Communicate project changes and events to concerned parties
  • Facilitate communication among project participants to expedite project processes and to resolve issues and problems. Schedule and facilitate meetings on project status and issue resolution.
  • Log risks and escalate appropriately. Receive information on project status, changes and issues. Identify potential sources for issue resolution, and contact appropriate parties to initiate action

Job Skills/Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in process improvement and/or project management
  • Certification in project management is a plus
  • Strong understanding of Operational Risk & Control environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects during the same time
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience preparing and presenting presentations to senior audiences
  • Ability to analyze Operational Risk datasets to identify key risks and document actions required to address each risk
  • Strong ability to understand complex business processes and identify root causes for problems
  • Ability to develop & communicate senior level reports outlining problems and recommending solutions to resolve
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and reporting requirements
  • Strong understanding of process engineering strategies, and process development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to function independently
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications


  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
