Job Description:

The US Personal Banking (USPB) organization comprises of Citi’s Branded Cards, Retail Services and Retail Banking franchises. The role resides in the Branded Cards Team.

Having a robust Risk Analytics function is key to the success of the organization and the role of VP Risk Vendor and Relationship Management will have the responsibility to manage the day-to-day operations and management of part of the workforce which the organization uses through various third-party vendors on projects/analytics engagements across UPB. The incumbent will also manage administrative issues related to vendor employees and offshore Citi employees as well as contract compliance, expense management, and Risk oversight.

This individual will work extensively with USPB Risk team, vendor contacts, Procurement and CSIPL management team to ensure the USPB Risk team needs are effectively delivered. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for expense tracking, developing, and updating financial planning models and creating scenario analysis.
  • Coordinate budget signoffs with Finance, Procurement, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Closely interact with internal Risk teams as well as off-shore teams for streamlined hiring, onboarding, and training of newly on-boarded staff.  Ensure Citi guidelines, policies and established procedures are complied with
  • Develop and deliver regular updates for working teams and internal Risk management leads on progress of hiring plan. Highlight risks to plan promptly with recommended remedial recommendations.
  • Assist in various aspects of vendor management including invoice management, contractual amendments, and adherence to Citi global policies and procedures.
  • Forecast monthly expenses and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • Bachelor’s Degree required in statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, economics, finance or related quantitative discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in risk management, financial services, or relevant field
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
  • Excellent quantitative and analytic skills; ability to derive patterns, trends, and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis
  • Ability to build effective presentations to communicate analytical findings to a wide array of audiences
  • Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management; effectively engage with internal audit and external regulators
  • Experience with end-to-end project planning and management across multiple organizational levels
