Job Description

The Payments Program Management Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within the Payments field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized as a payments technical authority for the Financial Services industry. Requires basic Credit Card industry knowledge. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through deliverables. Provides advice, counsel and oversight related to the technology and operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities

  • Works and contributes in a team-oriented and collaborative environment to improve the oversight of the end to end process lifecycle for Branded Cards Payments
  • Provides adherence support for Payment Networks, Industry Standards and Regulatory requirements
  • Partners and collaborates internally across multiple stakeholders to scope and recommend new payment ideas and opportunities
  • Assists in implementation of new initiatives to provide additional functionality and support for clients as they relate to Payments
  • Develops KPIs and reporting that captures deep insights on Payments
  • Identifies, investigate, and resolve payment issues through root cause analysis
  • Works with key stakeholders and organizations to resolve complaints and oversee controls plus collaborate on process improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Utilizes client feedback, industry trends, and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and improvements to the Payments functions.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of payments experience preferably in the Financial Services Industry
  • High degree of proficiency required: Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to win confidence, react quickly to new information and guide decisions that balance multiple objectives
  • Excellent attention to detail, as work products will often have visibility to clients and key business partners
  • Knowledge of Payment Networks, Industry Standards and Regulatory requirements
  • Able to successfully navigate within varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with accuracy


Education

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
