The Credit Bureau Program Officer is responsible for conducting credit bureau reporting and disputes oversight of reported consumer and commercial data covering all Citi lines of business (LOB) within the Risk organization. The overall objective of this role is to maintain and create credit bureau policies, manage process governance and controls, serve as a central point of contact (Subject Matter Expert) for related regulatory matters and as a key stakeholder in systemic enhancements with CBR/Dispute impact, audit support, and issue resolution.


C12 Responsibilities:

  • Drive credit bureau (consumer and commercial) strategies through collaboration across centralized Risk organization
  • Create and maintain policies, procedures, process flows, etc. related to Credit Bureau reporting and disputes for all lines of business
  • Provide and retain evidence of annual reviews and approvals of Credit Operations procedures, as applicable
  • Central point of contact for matters requiring escalation and procedure exception approvals
  • Manage and oversee annual governance attestation process
  • Build on existing and establish new, robust controls and documentation
  • Drive enhancements to credit bureau reporting and disputes initiatives
  • Provide data requested during internal and external regulatory reviews
  • Manage issue resolution with business, Legal and Compliance partners
  • Represent Citi in industry forums (Auriemma, CDIA, etc.).
  • Understand applicable credit policies, industry regulations and the requisite impact of those governance items to prospective new partners or product initiatives
  • Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies
  • Prepare risk management presentations that include areas of potential risk and/or opportunity
  • Operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5- years of experience in credit card risk management or equivalent training and experience preferably in the financial services industry
  • Experience in working with Credit Reporting Agencies
  • Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with Credit Bureau Reporting
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize and prioritize
  • Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and analytic skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
