AVP, Credit Portfolio Sr Analyst - Hybrid
The Credit Portfolio Officer will be working in a best in class, dynamic Risk organization that drives sustainable growth. This dynamic individual will collaborate closely with Risk and Business product leads to enable Citi’s growth in unsecured lending and to monitor portfolio risk in partnership with the broader risk management group. The team is looking for a high-energy individual who is looking to make a contributions at-scale.
Responsibilities:
Develop risk framework and design credit policy for new, innovative lending features (for e.q. Balance Transfer, CITI Flex) and products
Develop and test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods to identify underserved segments within risk appetite boundaries and prepare the test data for processing by organizing information, checking for any inaccuracies, and adjusting / weighting the raw test results to design credit policies while balancing risk and return
Establish and leverage cross-functional partnerships and network with key internal and external constituencies
Leverage external credit bureaus & internal Citi data to develop analytical solutions, and perform statistical analyses using CHAID and other advanced segmentation techniques to identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect these results
Evaluate, implement and monitor sophisticated leading edge analytic tools such as machine learning models in the underwriting and portfolio processes
Analyze portfolio performance at a granular segment level on an ongoing basis
Identify trends and conduct data driven root-cause-analysis using SAS and SQL to isolate key performance drivers
Create management reporting for Senior Leadership using Business Intelligence tools like Cognos, Tableau to monitor and report the results & strategy performance
Manage large data using SAS and Teradata and leverage probabilities, distributions and decision trees to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, performance, forecasting and new program due diligence
Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment
Communicate policy changes and test recommendations, program approvals, performance trends with business partners and senior management
Communicate clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audience
Collaborate with Marketing, product, Finance, and Legal to drive new projects including new product launch, enhanced tech capabilities, improving business profitability
Qualifications:
0-3 years’ experience in financial, economics or other analytical capacity in a relevant field (Experience can be offset by Master’s Degree or PhD)
Knowledge of commercial risk analytics
Ability to apply credit and risk principles toward business goals
Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a sense of urgency
Proven ability to remain organized in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects
Proven interpersonal, organizational and analytic skills
Education:
Bachelors or Masters Degree required in statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, or economics
