Senior Consultant - IT/Technology Audit (Hybrid)

Our Warsaw-based Internal Audit is a global organization, which sits within Citi Solutions Center as one of its key components with over 1600 professionals covering Citi's global businesses and service. Internal Audit is a change agent within Citi aimed to enhance the control culture of Citigroup worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.

Job purpose:

The Senior Technology Consultant will be responsible for performing validation of audit and regulatory issues raised on Citi’s Information Technology (IT) risk and control environments in coordination with the EMEA Audit team. The overall objective is to utilize in-depth IT subject matter expertise (and some IT audit experience if possible) to contribute to the Internal Audit function in EMEA and help Citi reach business goals.

Some knowledge of audit technology’s application would be an additional value, but is not essential as training will be provided; This role' focuses on Technology skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform issue validation including drafting validation strategy, conducting control design and operating effectiveness assessment, and presenting validation results to the business based on analysis of the control environment.
• Contribute to the development of audit processes improvements, including the development of automated routines.
• Apply internal audit standards, policies, and regulations to conduct timely issue validation work.
• Develop effective line management relationships to ensure strong understanding of the business.
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Min.3 years of relevant experience in any of the following technology roles: IT Security, Cybersecurity, IT Audit, Technology Audit or similar roles.
• Solid background in any of the following: IT maintenance, IT system administration, IT Risk, IT security.
• Some programming skills, experience with applications would be a great advantage
• Very good English (min. B2)
• Experience with Software development life cycle (SDLC) would be a plus.
• Some IT Audit experience and knowledge of audit technology’s application would be an additional value, but is not essential as training will be provided; This role' focuses on Technology skills and experience.
• Ability and willingness to constantly learn
• CISA, CISP, CISM certificates would be a great advantage
• Effective verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
• Effective project management skills
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment

Education:

• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
