The aim of this role is to perform data cleansing tasks which will enable Citi to provide market-leading customer tax reporting to clients of the Private Bank. Employee will be responsible for review, investigation, and data enhancement of securities transactions and related calculations.

This position supports the clients positive experience by high quality level of support for tax reporting. The person will act as a tax data quality expert to support Citi Private Bank and is expected to constantly enhance its product and transactions particularities knowledge in order to anticipate and address clients’ needs.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Team Lead and will be expected to investigate exception events, understand the nature of the event, and perform system inputs to enable a robust dataset from which high-quality reporting can be derived. The role require to identifying gaps in the process based on various regulations and specific approach towards Citi Private Bank clients.


  • Responsible for transactions investigation, review and reconciliation in order to prepare proper financial data for tax reporting purposes

  • Investigate and resolve Tax Data Quality discrepancies

  • Ensuring high quality of service delivered to the clients

  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve complex financial data integrity issues

  • Serves as escalation point for issues and complex processing

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and other team members

  • Ensuring all Team procedures and audit requirements are updated, completed and maintained across all Clients and processes

  • Coordination of collection of required deliverables on the team level for different stakeholders (e.g. MCA). Being responsible for quality and timeliness of data delivered

  • Leading efforts to get rid of manual processes and low value added tasks in the section


  • 3-5 years of experience preferable in Client Reporting, Corporate Action, Settlement, Fund Accounting or other related functions

  • Understanding of the nature of work within banking operations

  • Analytical background in the financial services industry with some operational experience

  • Practical experience in tax data quality analysis in the banking industry will be an advantage

  • Effective Time management and excellent organizational skills

  • Client focused individual with strong communication skills

  • Appreciates differences in style or perspective and uses differences to add value to decisions or actions and organizational success

  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook

  • University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economy, Tax Management or any other equivalent

  • Certificate in banking or finance would be beneficial CIMA, CISP, ACCA, CFA etc.
