Responsibilities
The Java Developer is responsible for working alongside Citi’s Financial Resource Management (FRM) team across technology to design and code cutting-edge solutions to exciting business problems. We are currently focusing on the technical buildout of Iris, an exciting new product suite of modern applications that will enhance Citi’s loan hedging capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Developing existing application and creating new functionalities with good coding and design standards
- Collaboration within the international Team to deliver the application functionalities successfully and effectively
- Be proactive and ensure the software developed by the Team remains compliant with prescribed best practices
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining applications with Java 11+
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, JPA, JUnit
- Experience with relational databases like MS SQL Server, Oracle and NoSQL databases like MongoDB
- Good knowledge of clean code principles and design patterns alongside excellent design, coding, and debugging skills
- Experience building and using REST API
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Git, Jenkins,
- Understanding and experience developing and deploying microservices
- Results-oriented, and a quick learner of new tools & technologies
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
- Advanced English language
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of various Java libraries and frameworks
- Experience with Docker/K8s/OpenShift
- Experience programming in Angular (11+)
- Linux commands including shell scripting
