Financial Crime Officer - Vice President - Global Wealth Management (Hybrid)

The role involves strong analytical, interpersonal and organisational skills. As a successful candidate you will demonstrate responsibility and diligence and be able to both prioritise while managing multiple tasks within a busy environment. You will also collaborate with multiple stakeholders across different seniorities spanning the franchise whilst maintaining strong relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Support the business impact assessment of any new Financial Crime requirements, whether from internal Policy or external / regulatory body.
- Support the coordination and implementation of the regional and annual SPF reviews with bankers and AML teams. Coordinate the work together with BRC Partners and Business Managers.
- Provide guidance / support to countries BRC partners and advise on complex cases.
- Manage the co-ordination of the EMEA Reputational Risk Committee in preparing meeting materials, and monitoring follow up actions.
- Support the coordination of AML regulatory exams, Internal Audit and Compliance testing reviews in relation with Financial Crime for all impacted LVs.
- Support investigations and interactions with the relevant regulators, where needed.
- Review daily deficiency reports and liaise with Banking teams to ensure remedial action is taken.
- Execute regular data extracts, and ad-hoc reports for Global teams, AML forums and KRI reporting. Gather and scrutinise data in order to enable data-driven business decision-making.
- Participate in BR&C Global forums pertaining to System & Policy updates with a view to providing and EMEA view based on local requirements.
- Support Ad-hoc Country and Global Project work related to AML/KYC deliverables.
- Monitor account blockages for both AML & Sanctions, and other related exit cases
- Execute manual controls required by the Global team.
- Support the execution of testing activities related to BRC, such as MCA control execution, regulatory reporting and specific Country audit questionnaires across a variety of processes for the Private Bank
- Act as a Back up for the Financial Crime Senior Officer in attending meetings, addressing data requests, supporting the Banking teams etc.
Qualifications:
- Approximately five years of relevant experience in the financial industry and Wealth Management
- Good knowledge of AML/KYC policies and procedures, and country specific nuances
- Experience in managing regulatory exams and relationships with examiners, auditors, etc.
- Strong stakeholder management skills (e.g., written and verbal communication, influencing and negotiation)
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, highly matrix, dynamic environment
- Good understanding of relevant US and EU banking regulations and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions
- Ability to work well as a team member and contribute to the team’s and the organization’s objectives
- Skilled with office documentation software/applications (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Ability to perform data analysis
