The Data Quality Senior Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand DGO Data Quality monitoring needs so as to contribute to the establishment of the approach for determining, investigating and resolving Data Quality Issues for Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) area adhering to CDGO guidelines

  • Work closely with internal Business units (TTS Product, DGO, CDGO), Operational and IT units in order to analyze and resolve DQ issues; proposing creative solutions or workarounds (when applicable).

  • Utilize data profiling and data quality tools as defined by the CDGO to uncover and determine root cause and resolution

  • Communicate findings to Business Stewards on bi-weekly calls and distribute MOM with discussion and action items accordingly

  • Design, execute and monitor the processes for maintaining and enhancing data quality as well as reports that track progress on the DQ monitoring process abiding by SLAs applicable

  • Identify and leverage opportunities to continually improve the quality of data management

  • Understand operational procedures and contribute to DQ monitoring process working on the update of process materials as needed

  • Develop both Business and IT knowledge to become Subject Matter Expert in TTS DQ items

  • Ensure adherence of TTS objectives and strategies into day-to-day objectives for the team. Track operational processes to ensure high quality services are provided. Direct the organization towards continuous improvements and service delivery through automation, eliminating inefficiencies.


Qualifications:

  • Proven data analysis, data verification, issue identification and problem solving skills

  • Experience with statistical reporting and analysis

  • Ability to gain in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of these elements in other areas

  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills and an ability to persuade and influence. Ability to partner with business and technology members alike so as to engage their collaboration to meet Team’s goals.

  • Initiative – Candidates should be proactive, capable of picking up tasks and taking ownership of engagements and delivering with minimal supervision.

  • Team oriented – Openness, communication, cooperation and the ability to deliver under pressure are considered essential qualities.

  • Adaptability and Flexibility – Capable of progressing on multiple tasks simultaneously, and switching between tasks as priorities change

  • Over 3 years of experience in supporting businesses (Tech, Ops, or Risk Teams), or DQ and Recon Teams

  • Proficient in English

  • Banking data and Citi internal systems knowledge e.g. FlexCube, Genesis, Optima would be an asset


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
