Credit Maintenance Group Manager
The Credit Maintenance Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to maintain data on credit exposures, obligors and facilities in relevant credit systems in coordination with the Operations - Services team. The overall objective of this role is to drive data quality efforts, analyze and report credit exposure, escalate deficiencies and recommend delinquent strategies in alignment with overall credit policies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple teams or functional area to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions).
- Manage multiple senior managers and multiple units, contribute to broader and more complex projects/work, and monitor and manage multi-country work.
- Control budget, policy formation, and planning.
- Manage complex and highly variable issues with substantial potential impact.
- Conduct contract negotiations with vendors or contractors.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that impact multiple areas.
- Ensure appropriate procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
- Integrate in-depth knowledge of own area with overall function to achieve established goals.
- Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from diverse internal and external sources.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of industry practices and standards.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Ability to negotiate internally.
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience (master’s degree preferred).
