Job Purpose:

We are seeking an outstanding candidate for a Business Analyst position working in the Design & Execution team within the Valuation Control Group which is part of Finance Controllers organization.

This role is critical and influential in helping shape and drive process and technology change across the group.

The VCG Design & Execution team is primarily responsible for defining and implementing the Firm’s vision of a best in class Valuation Control function.

The Team:

Within Finance, Valuation Control is a cornerstone function of the Controllers organization.

VCG (Valuation Control Group) is responsible for performing the independent price verification (IPV) for Citi’s financial inventory, validating valuation adjustments and evaluating the valuation implications of new trade activity.

Alongside the wider VCG team, this individual will focus on leading change management across Global Valuation Control. This will incorporate changes to IPV business processes, systems and technology implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate strong partnership and work alongside the broader VCG team and Technology to design and implement a Best In Class Finance function
  • Support change management design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Work collaboratively across functions, including Finance and other key stakeholders (Business, Risk, Compliance, Technology, etc.) in relation to Valuation Control change initiatives
  • Delivery of business requirement and coordination of user-acceptance testing for Valuation Control programmes in line with project plan and Citi documentation standards
  • Create ideas and insight of how the Valuation Control process can be improved, simplified and operate more effectively
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress

Key skills and requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (Finance and / or Product Control / Valuation Control experience is preferred)
  • Financial products and valuation related knowledge
  • Experience in business analyst role for system implementation projects
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Advanced PC skills in MS Excel. Process automation and Business Intelligence experience will be an asset

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any finance, economics or quantitative related subject

  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Ability to clearly articulate and present complex matters to diverse audience
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed information
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks within tight deadlines
  • Interpersonal skills, able to communicate and deal with a range of senior/junior staff across a number of disciplines
