Citi Investment Management (CIM) is a group within Citi Global Wealth (CGW) that manages assets on a discretionary and advisory basis for high and ultra-high net worth clients. With approximately $110 billion in assets under management and advisement globally, CIM manages a broad suite of investment strategies within single and multi-asset class products. CIM is currently seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join our team of investment professionals and further strengthen the investment management, research, and portfolio construction capabilities of CIM’s strategies.

This is a role within the North America Citi Investment Management team where the senior CPM is expected to service, monitor and retain existing clients, as well as help drive the acquisition of new business, specifically focused on the Canadian franchise.  This role will require the ability to communicate our investment process and equity and fixed income market conditions while building superb relationships with clients, investment counsellors and bankers. A solid understanding of multi-asset classes business and several years of related client service, marketing or portfolio management experience is required. Responsibilities will involve frequent travel for face-to-face client meetings and some marketing responsibility. The CPM will be accountable for meeting a wide array of client needs and partnering successfully with our investment team.


  • Represent the CIM business to senior internal partners in the distribution teams.
  • Build and execute a strategy for growing portfolio sales across the region.
  • Deal with day-to-day queries raised by the regional sales teams for all equity, fixed income, and multi-asset class products.


  • 15+ years of direct experience in the asset management industry, preferably in a portfolio management role
  • Strong academic record
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
  • CFA preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship management skills
  • Experience with face to face client interaction
  • Strong analytical skills and technical insight
  • Understanding of risk factors that drive investment performance
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Expected travel: 30% of time
