The Product Manager Lead, Deposit & Liquidity Management Services is a key role in the Canada Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) business, encompassing ownership of the deposit portfolio and profitability management. Responsibility for existing product maintenance and new product rollouts for Canada is also a significant element of this role.

Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the business.


  • Some key aspects of the position include the following:

  • Management of the deposit portfolio and product P&L, including revenue margins and client deposit pricing.

  • Working with internal Treasury and Finance departments on Funds Transfer Pricing and applicable metrics.

  • Deposit/balance sheet management and optimizing deposit-types and profitability for the business while balancing customer needs.

  • Acting as a close partner with business development and customer facing teams as the resident-expert in Liquidity Management to win new business and optimize deposit levels.

  • Ongoing maintenance of the existing product set, including up to date marketing, commercialization and regulatory compliance activities.

  • Strong coordination and country representation with regional and global partners in the management of Liquidity Management Services.

  • Ownership for new LMS product rollouts in Canada including feasibility, product fit, development, operational readiness, implementation and go-to market strategies.

  • Staying abreast of latest developments in the product domain and ensuring that Citi’s Liquidity Management Product offerings continue to market leading.

  • Address evolving regulatory requirements and consequent impact on our clients' usage of the product.

  • Drive and track improvements in business profitability through implementation of standardized metrics and product pricing policy.

  • Ensure all control measures are in place and maintained in order to meet Risk, Compliance and Audit standards as per policy.

  • Accurate and timely review of key product metrics – with focus on Innovation, Client Experience, Return on Investment and controlled risk.


  • 7 plus years’ experience in Treasury / Transaction Services.

  • Product Management experience, preferably with Liquidity Management, Cash Pooling and/or Payment services

  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills.

  • A growth and business-development mindset

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Innovative & Entrepreneurial mind set, self-starter with ability to work independently

  • Demonstrated ability to self-direct work efforts, meet deadlines, take initiative, and produce consistent high-quality work; Willingness to be a direct contributor and ability to multi-task


  • Bachelor’s degree

  • MBA and/or CTP designation an advantage
