Description of Role:


Japan TTS Operations & Technology – Infrastructure services lead is a mid-management level (AVP) position responsible for Operational readiness of TTS applications in Japan. She/he may coordinate and manage activities such as change management, lead productivity and digitization initiatives, drive change and other administrative needs as necessary. He/She will responsible for ad-hoc projects as requested. These tasks will also include managing a team of 5 infra and UAT analysts and reporting into the Japan TTS Cash Operations Head (SVP)

  • Drive Change and productivity initiatives for TTS business in Japan
  • Champion digitization and process automation.
  • Work with Cash and Trade Operations heads Locally and regional Technology teams to implement system changes and projects
  • Develop and coordinate performance reporting/processes; reviews results against plans monthly
  • Develop and track headcount and expense forecasts and incorporate results into management reports and decision processes
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Provide expert transaction input for deliverables from internal and external clients and vendors
  • Contribute to special projects and provide feedback for all project related activities as directed
  • Contribute to the development of new techniques and processes within cash management
  • Develop and recommend strategic decisions based off in-depth comprehension of how the Cash & Trade Operations team interacts with others business unites in accomplishing objectives
  • Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating others in area
  • Evaluate moderately complex issues with substantial potential impact
  • Provide informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


  • The role requires thoughtful and progressive leadership with an ability to communicate effectively and constructively at all levels.
  • Outstanding relationship skills - ability to partner and work collaboratively with all groups, developing productive and trusted relationships, and advisory with business leaders and with TTS Global team colleagues both regionally and globally.
  • Strategic thinking and planning - significant time will be dedicated to forging strategic alliances, cultivating relationships and contributing value to business reviews.
  • Analysis and decision making - able to identify and understand the primary issues, problems and opportunities and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Able to influence at all levels without formal reporting lines
  • Self-starter - positive, energetic and able to prioritize appropriately and act decisively.
  • 10+ years of overall work experience with at least 5+ years of experience in a project and people management role
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services industry
  • Demonstrated experience working with primarily technical BA's, senior stakeholders, one some cases, engineers
  • Passion for innovation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the SDLC
  • Comfortable with working within a highly complex environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing partner/vendor relations and performance; evaluating proposals, structure and negotiation enterprise agreements
  • Ability to present technical/analytical information to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally within an organization to accomplish objectives
  • Acumen working in a technical environment to solve business related problems
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects from end-to-end as well as to facilitate meetings, keeping participants focused on the agenda.
  • Understanding of legal, regulatory environment and experience within a highly controlled environment.
  • Bachelor’s/University degree
