Y-14 Remediation Program Manager - VP

Capital Planning is a critical division of Citi’s Finance organization. The Program Manager will be part of the Capital Planning division with accountability to the FR Y-14 Remediation Governance Office. This role will be responsible for providing governance and oversight across the FR Y-14 Remediation initiative, which consists of 18 cross function programs. 

FR Y-14 Remediation initiative was setup in response to the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) review of the firm’s FR Y-14 reporting. This resulted in a set of remediation activities to improve Citi’s reporting processing, which includes data quality and controls, adjustments, reconciliations and alignment with the FRB instructions. TheProgram Manager will collaborate with program teams to ensure deliverables are completed on time, to specification, within budget and risks/issues are escalated in time for corrective actions to the taken to meet the initial deadlines wherever possible. The role is focused on driving delivery and as such, will suit a hands on delivery-focused professional who will be required to work across multiple organizations including Finance, Risk, CDO and Technology. Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.

Key responsibilities will include:
• Understand the key business deliverables required for remediation across programs and the associated dependencies. Ensure detailed milestone plans are available for all committed deliverables.
• Address potential barriers to timely execution before they impact critical path delivery. Ensure proactive management of deliverables such that risks/ issues are escalated promptly in order to allow for timely remediation and delivery of the program as scheduled.
• Execute against multiple contending priorities simultaneously
• Ensure clear and transparent reporting of program status to senior executives.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including program sponsors and program leads
• Partner with global process owners, program/project teams and functional groups (ICG, GCB, Risk, Finance, Technology, Finance/Risk Shared Services (FRSS), Global Program Management Office (GPMO), Learning & Development)) to drive execution of requirements, training, and ensuring process compliance is in-line with Citi standards.
• Ensure compliance with the PM standard procedures and with all applicable tools used for program and project management

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree required / MBA preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Consulting or Project/Program Management experience in the financial services industry is required, including 5+ years of Project/Program Management
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills required, ability to synthesize key messages and “storytell”. Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management preferred.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" without losing attention to detail
  • Good influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills
  • In-depth analysis with interpretive thinking will be required
  • Proven track record of successfully leading large, complex and transformative projects preferred
  • Individual should be flexible, team-oriented, have good follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and dissect/solve complex problems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel and Project.
