VP Solutions Delivery Senior Business Analyst

Citi’s Enterprise Resilience function within Enterprise Operations and Technology organization is seeking an experienced professional to serve in a Vice President position implementing a global delivery solution tool for operational resilience and supporting the ability of Citi’s Critical Business Services to remain within a board-approved Impact Tolerance in severe but plausible operational disruption events.

The incumbent will have oversight and experience working in a leadership position within the solutions delivery functionality with credibility and presence as a professional for this role. Applies in-depth business resiliency disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for the area or function within scope. Integrates subject matter and industry knowledge of Continuity of Business and Crisis Management standards expertise as well as new regulation on Operational Resilience within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, fostering multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines. Ability to work with occasional adaptability to global time zones if necessary.

The candidate will join a core team that is part of the organization leading Citi's global operational resilience tools development program. This includes the development and implementation of an enhanced end-to-end methodology that aims to integrate new operational resilience concepts (eg Critical Business Services, Impact Tolerance, Severe but Plausible scenario testing) with established business continuity practices (eg business impact analysis, business recovery process planning, technology and data recovery, and supplier/vendor resiliency) as part of a holistic approach to Citi’s enterprise resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with the product implementation of a new operational resilience tool FUSION RISK MANAGEMENT Application, for crisis management, continuity of business and outsourced service provider information for continuity of business planning.

  • Experience working with or within a business continuity, business resiliency, or operational resilience environment

  • Strong understanding of operational resilience concepts and implications across the industry

  • Understanding of correlation between planning and exercising/testing activities (e.g., business impact analysis, business continuity plan documentation, and exercising/testing.

  • Understanding of IT environments; experience with linkage between business continuity and disaster recovery is a plus

  • Understand how the Enterprise Resiliency, Continuity of Business and Crisis Management systems integrate with overall organizational business functions and processes from a recoverability, planning and testing perspective

  • Perform business and process analysis to help define and support the tooling solutions for existing and new functional capabilities for business impact analysis, business recovery planning and testing, application and work area recovery planning and testing, 3rd Party planning and testing, operational/risk metrics and reporting

  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources to define tooling workflow and process improvement, simplification and automation opportunities

  • Understanding of technology and development life cycle processes (technology operations, business continuity, etc.)

  • Provide end user support to Citi's proprietary business continuity stakeholders

  • Engages stakeholders and radiates information, provides presentations, acts as an engaged partner to all stakeholders

  • Manage product to deliver the required value, e.g. new processes, technology changes, regulatory compliance etc

  • Identify continuous improvement of the product and areas of enhancement, embedding a sense of mission and focus on the targeted benefits of the product output

  • Ensuring timely planning of key milestones and their dependencies

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in Business Analysis roles in operational risk management, business continuity, business resiliency or crisis management

  • Experience with FUSION or similar continuity of business industry software

  • Experience of technology project management, data modeling and workflow mapping

  • 3+ years’ experience working with internal/external audit/regulatory groups is preferred

  • Advanced project management, data analysis and reporting ability; with a good understanding of supporting technologies (applications, reporting tools, and data presentation)

  • Experience in Continuity of Business software platforms and/or systems

  • Certification in any of the following areas will be an added advantage CBCP, PMP,

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree; Master’s degree preferred.
