The Portfolio Management & Investment Oversight Team is a function within Independent Risk Management IT Program Delivery Office (IT PDO) accountable for supporting the effective delivery of the Information Technology solutions to enable risk processes. This central team support the works for the entire Risk Management franchise, in close partnership with owners of the risk processes and the Global Function Technology.

The mandate, scope and objectives of the Portfolio Management and Investment Oversight Team function include:

  • Management and oversight of Risk Technology Investment Process and budget review for the Risk Management franchise
  • End-to-end project management for the delivery of the Risk Information Technology Book of Work from review and prioritization of technology funding requests through to user acceptance testing, and release management
  • Management of a central team to cross-skill resources and allow for flexible staffing across risk stripes and projects as needed

VP, Portfolio Management and Investment Oversight

The VP of Portfolio Management and Investment Oversight Team, reports to the Head of Portfolio Management and Investment Oversight for Risk IT Program Delivery Office. S/He facilitates the development and maintains the standards for the execution of Risk Technology Investment process, budget review, program tracking and reporting. S/He is responsible of aggregation and reporting of the overall Risk enhancement projects delivery status to RMEC & delegates

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development and maintains the standards for the execution of Risk Technology Investment process, budget review, program tracking and reporting
  • Facilitate the oversight of Risk Technology Investment Processes execution to ensure the consistency and the adherence to the standards
  • Aggregate the target state business requirements for senior management presentation including RMEC, the head of Global Function Technology and CRO
  • Aggregate and report Risk IT program delivery status to RMEC and CRO on the regular basis
  • Support planning, directing, and coordinating of day-to-day activities of running multiple project discussions simultaneously.
  • Oversee program plans to meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones.
  • Work with business stakeholders to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.
  • Monitor program commitment from the assigning resources.
  • Escalate program risks to the Program Director and/or owner
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
  • The PMO manager need to effectively provide scope and business case management, project planning including milestone management, actions logs, resource forecasting change control, dependency management
  • Operationally, support project prioritization, information management, resource planning, and decision making.

Qualifications:

  • Strategic risk process and system solution thinker : requires
    • Knowledge of either risk processes and/or risk systems
    • Experience of transformation and management of projects
  • Strong leadership : able to lead process and effectively communicate
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to seek for solutions, and to study and familiarize framework including policies, standards, procedures, guidelines and training
  • Experienced project management skills
  • 5+ years of experience including risk manager, risk analytics, risk processes implementation as well as exposure to senior management.
  • Demonstrates ability to assess complex issues through root cause analysis and other analytical techniques; structure potential solutions; drive to resolution with stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to manage projects through influence
  • Good communication skills, attention to detail combined with the ability to synthetize for high level communication
  • Thrive in uncertainty and ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
