Team Overview:

The HR Issue Validation Unit ensures the Human Resources organization’s global program is developed with a comprehensive approach designed to evaluate the remediation of identified risks or control gaps.  The team proactively manages the review of HR’s issue remediation actions with the objective of evaluating the corrective action plans and determine if these appropriately address root cause and the controls are effective to sustain risk mitigation over time.   The team partners closely with HR partners globally and other key stakeholders to:

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Human Resources’ issue remediation results with the timely and effective evaluation of related corrective action plans;
  • Work closely with all related partners to ensure consistent and clear risk & control communications are provided across the HR organization;
  • Provide independent and objective risk & control guidance;
  • Publish meaningful reporting with thematic summaries and emerging concerns to Senior Management with recommendations /insights for the continued strengthening of HR’s control environment; and
  • Analyze thematic summaries / trends to enable priority/targeted reviews of remediation plans associated with material risks /high severity issues and appropriately support the reduction of HR’s risk exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute established methodology to achieve an effective and timely review of issue remediation plans
  • Interact effectively with HR’s Issue and Corrective Action Plan (CAP) owners or other stakeholder to coordinate validation related follow-ups and communicate preliminary results
  • Review and provide quality documentation that appropriately support the issue validation conclusions
  • Assist with the generation of final reports and socialization of results
  • Collaborate with the production of meaningful senior management reporting on issue themes, trends and emerging concerns resulting from the validation reviews
  • Assist with the issuance of  independent & objective guidance, as needed
  • Support the team with any high priority or ad hoc projects
  • Establish effective working relationships with the team and key stakeholders across the HR organization


Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of relevant general risk and control experience
  • 1-2 years of Audit skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
