Global Risk Review (GRR) provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Boards, the Committees, the Citigroup Chief Risk Officer, the Citigroup Chief Credit Officer, senior management and regulators over the effectiveness of credit, capital and collateral risk management and the ability of the Business and independent Risk Management to identify, monitor and mitigate current and emerging risks. The Office of the Chief Operating Officer is responsible for GRR’s administration, reporting, analytics, quality assurance, infrastructure and project management.

The GRR Operations Officer will support the Chief Operating Officer (COO) by ensuring the on-going development, enhancement and implementation of a proactive, prudent, and effective global control framework and assisting in management of the day-to-day administrative infrastructure across GRR globally.

Developmental opportunities include experience in a high visibility, dynamic function; significant exposure to GRR’s global review teams; enhanced business contacts; leadership responsibilities; and direct exposure to and accountability for work products presented to the Risk Management Executive Committee, regulators and Citi’s Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the GRR COO in development and management of comprehensive tracking for timely delivery of all tasks required reports and activities outlined in the Manuals
  • Ensure timelines are met by escalating any concerns to the GRR COO
  • Prepare GRR’s monthly and quarterly reporting that includes materials for Citi’s Board of Directors, senior business and risk management, regulators, Internal Audit, and external auditors
  • Coordinate escalation and remediation of any significant control issues that may impact the effectiveness of GRR in providing an independent review of and assurance on risk management in Citi
  • Participate in key re-engineering projects to enhance GRR’s process and procedures, including the design and development of SharePoint sites and databases
  • Support GRR Administration processes, including the management of Manuals, templates, internal Citi website and SharePoint site, as well as capacity planning
  • Coordinate the GRR training and talent development programs
  • Produce critical and time-sensitive deliverables for regulators, Internal Audit and external auditors
  • Central point of contact for regulators, Internal Audit, and external auditors
  • Work closely with Global Risk Review teams
  • Responsible for administering the GRR systems in FCRS and Citi Risk and Controls
  • Assist in the scheduling of monthly GRR calls led by the Head of GRR
  • Participate in the planning of the GRR newsletter
  • Ad hoc projects designated by the Head of GRR and Chief Operating Officer

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Demonstrable financial services experience including 5-8 years of operations, strategy, technology or project management in corporate, commercial, or retail banking
  • Experience in the production of materials for senior audiences is preferred

Skills/Competencies:

  • Strong technology skills with proficiency in SharePoint design and development
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority
  • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to successfully handle competing priorities
  • Energetic, responsive team player with the interest to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal skills

Education:

  • BA/BS  or higher in business, finance, or a related field
