Job Description:

The Engineering and Architecture Practice (EAP) for the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) is building out a set of Architecture Governance capabilities that will focus on ensuring the improved technology management Platform comprises of an optimized set of business processes across ICG Technology. The EAP is hiring a Technology Management Process Architect to drive the transformation of our application inventories and processes to support our wider technology simplification goals.
Job Purpose:
This critical role will be within the ICG (Institutional Clients Group) Architecture Governance function of the EAP. The Technology Management Process Architect will be responsible for analyzing the current state of architecture policies & processes and their interdependencies and then, defining a target state of processes that optimize efficiency, de-duplication and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be handling the following (but not limited to) responsibilities:
- Map out a current state view of existing architecture processes, as defined in Citi policies and identify dependencies, ownership, and purpose.
- Partner with process owners to understand critical dependencies and SLAs.
- Lead optimization of architecture processes through stakeholder engagement, clearly documenting use-cases.
- Proactively identify conflicts and synergies across stakeholder requirements.
- Act as a champion for wider ICG vision, driving cross-sector agreement and alignment.
- Understand wider implications of process policy, tooling, and execution into Citi’s wider technology and process governance landscape.
- Define and design enhancements to the policy, process and process automation utilizing best practices and industry standards.
- Foster communication between business leaders and IT stakeholders facilitating exchange of ideas/information in a concise and logical manner.
- Drive process efficiency and simplification agenda, articulating control and risk reduction benefits to stakeholders.
- Partner with SMEs from across a wide group of stakeholders to actively solicit feedback from multiple perspectives.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, our clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Knowledge / Experience:
- Direct experience of defining and implementing architectural and/or SDLC policy within a financial institution.
- Direct experience of managing stakeholders across a variety of disciplines, including technology, business, and risk.
- Direct experience of managing a complex book of work, representing the needs and requirements of multiple stakeholders.
- Proven leadership in a complex & regulated technology environment driving process efficiency and technology change
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience owning and delivering multiple complex business process optimization projects.
- Must have a positive attitude and a readiness to lead from the front.
- An excellent communicator who is collaborative by nature, gets on well with others and builds strong working relationships across the firm.
- A self starter with the ability to work effectively in teams
- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills, communication and presentation skills with an ability to tailor delivery to the required audience.
- Familiarity with the various stages of Software Development Lifecycle and knowledge of applicable business systems and industry standards.
- Has a strong focus on risk and controls.
- Able to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. And can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

- Creative problem solver comfortable with working in rapidly evolving landscape and uncertainty.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse groups from senior stakeholders and clients to junior team members.
- Proven relevant experience.

- Methodically and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
- Ability to work independently and in a team across levels, regions, and functions, with understanding of how collaboration accomplishes objectives.
- You should have experience of partner management and influencing skills.
