SVP Senior Learning Adviser Legal & Citi Security & Investigative Services (Hybrid)
The Senior Learning Adviser is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out a Learning Needs Analysis for both Legal and CSIS to develop the Learning strategies and relevant learning Books of Work.
- Engage with Citi learning strategy, policies and processes and incorporate into strategy & BOWs
- Engage with Talent, HR, DEI and PM partners to develop truly integrated people strategies for both functions.
- Set up Steering Councils made up of senior leaders to credible challenge the strategy, set the priorities and hold team to account for delivery.
- Work with Legal & CSIS partners to secure and establish the proper funding and stewardship of resources to be deployed globally toward Learning solutions. Manage the funding judiciously in line with the Financial Control pillar.
- Proactively collaborate with business partners, HR partners, and regional L&D teams to socialize and drive adoption of sustainable learning solutions
- Design and facilitate instructor-led courses and workshops, and oversee the logistical planning processes and learning administration
- Design and implement in house and work with vendors to deliver required e-learning developed by CSIS & Legal.
- Develop and implement consistent methods and metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions and proactively execute improvements as needed
- Drive ongoing process improvement opportunities to proactively address pain points in the L&D experience
- Identify risks in the LD processes and proactively put in place controls to manage these risks
- Keep abreast of leading-edge learning trends and learning technologies to continuously push the possibilities of adult learning
- Partner with Learning Advisors and other learning professionals on special projects as needed across Citi Learning
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience
- Must possess leadership, organizational design and talent development skills and to ensure appropriate staffing and organizational structures are in place for their focus area
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
- Self-motivated and detail oriented
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
