This global second line of defense role will focus on supporting the creation, development and ongoing governance of Operational Risk and Control Taxonomies to successfully deliver planning, design, build, test and implementation activity focused on transforming with Citi’s Controls Future State Design.

  • A key role in supporting ORMs 2LoD leadership across the firm’s Risk and Control Framework
  • Act as a thought leader and Lead the Design and implementation of the Control Taxonomy, Control Library, Monitoring Taxonomy and Monitoring Library across Citi.
  • Design and implement governance and oversight structure in the 2nd line focusing on maintenance of and downstream cases from the Listed Taxonomies/ Libraries. This includes linkage to standardized process and business MCA profiles.
  • Partner with Risk Category experts in the design and publication of taxonomies and reference controls, ensuring design is in accordance and remains true to clearly establish design principles and quality .
  • Ensure Taxonomy and Library efforts are benchmarked against industry standards and regulatory expectations. Establish ongoing governance and documentation of this process.
  • Lead activities to identify, design, build, test and implement any required firmwide specific guidance and procedure across Citi to ensure robust governance and execution of the control taxonomy and reference control library.
  • Ensuring that there is appropriate review, update, maintenance and approval of latter Taxonomies and Library across the organization.
  • Developing and coordinating delivery of a realistic delivery plan based on senior stakeholder buy-in and dependency management
  • Provide leadership and governance across the relationship between all taxonomy and library level changes to the firm wide RCSA (MCA) and determine impact that require review, development etc
  • Additionally provide the governance and oversight  of all changes across other use cases and determine impact and remedial actions where required
  • Build and foster productive and value-add relationships with a wide range of stakeholders internally. There may also be occasions where the role is required to communicate with regulators and external industry bodies.
  • Independently asses risks and drive actions to address the root causes within the Control Framework
  • Proven ability to deliver to a high standard.
  • Expertise and exemplary track record of delivering a risk and control project end to end.
  • Areas you will have experience in: Operational Risk, Risk Management, RCSA , risk appetite, risk taxonomies, risk assessment, control identification and assessment, MI.
  • Act as a leader and champion of change management at relevant working groups and accurate/ timely reporting of delivery plan status, including escalations where required.
  • Advising the businesses/ functions/ regions on the development of Taxonomies , Libraries tools and practices.
  • Coordinating/ Developing / ensuring  testing, including pilots, across Citi business/ region stakeholder groups.
  • You are a self-starter who takes ownership.
  • Excellent skills across MS applications.
  • You have excellent judgement / decision making skills.
