The Strategy Lead Analyst will assist the Risk Management team with headcount and expense management as well as financial, planning and analysis activities to support senior decision making. The ideal candidate has in-depth disciplinary knowledge on headcount reporting, expense management operation, financial planning and forecasting, ability to provide value added insights and analysis to improve business performance and experience stablishing and evolving processes and workflows.

The individual will work collaboratively with Risk segment contacts and management, centralized headcount management team, HR and Finance and will require flexibility to take on / transition quickly and seamlessly in response to any urgent asks or reprioritization in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform financial and headcount analysis for Actuals and Outlook (Short-term forecasting processes)
  • Develop/coordinate processes (e.g. the annual planning and periodic forecasting processes) and review financial results against plan and prior forecasts
  • Work closely with Risk Management segments to provide support in managing their resource requests, expenses, T&E and FTEs and to understand any changes that may arise.
  • Provide support to segments on financial operation processes (Accruals, GOCs creation/ remapping)
  • Provide support to segment’s leadership team on resource management, annual budget and charge-out process
  • Lead projects across their lifecycle: identifying and structuring the problem, analyzing root causes, developing solutions, communicating project results, and obtaining buy-in for change.
  • Manage all aspects of client service, including planning, prioritizing, and organizing projects.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with executives across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to add value beyond the scope of formal projects.
  • Efficiently solve complex, ambiguous problems/situations.
  • Multi-tasks productively and reliably, while managing conflicting priorities.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in financial analysis, headcount management within financial services.
  • Ability to problem solve, sound business judgment, and demonstrated result orientation.
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, consultative, relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Creativity and independent thinking.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Sound working knowledge of financial modeling and financial statement analysis. Highly proficient in MS PowerPoint and Excel handling large data sets.
  • A positive “can do” attitude with clear sense of urgency, agility, and ability to work independently with minimum guidance. High energy, self-starter, excellent team player.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, ease to interface with Senior Management


Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, master’s degree will be an advantage.
