You: An analytical and entrepreneurial professional with a penchant for process and controls re-engineering, including risk assessments and a track record of applying Lean methodologies to enact profound change.

Citi is currently recruiting for a Vice President-level professional with well-rounded knowledge and experience in Lean or Lean Six Sigma methodologies to play a leading role in the evolution and application of our customized Lean program, CitiLean. Your role will be to support Business leaders and partners in Operations & Technology, helping them redesign their processes to put the customer at the center of everything we do. Through the application of Lean tools and techniques, you will identify major pain points, complete risk analysis, investigate their root causes and provide innovative solutions that transform the client experience. Partnering with the Smart Automation Center, you will bring best-of-breed artificial intelligence and robotics solutions that augment processes improved through Lean methodologies. You will become a trusted and independent advisor to the Business, upskilling and empowering our people to independently solve problems for the benefit of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and apply individual Lean projects and training for business and functional partners, including:
- Scoping and planning the projects (deliverables, timelines, resourcing, etc.).
- Identifying waste, pain-points and areas of risk in the process using Lean tools (including basic Process Mapping, VSM, SIPOC’s, FMEAs, Time and Motion studies, Benchmarking, etc.) and presenting findings to Senior Leadership.
- Organizing and leading Kaizen workshops, guiding the project teams on executing Root Cause Analyses and identifying Action Plans for the elimination of Root Causes to solve various Business and Process issues that achieve project/program objectives.
- Developing “To–Be” processes, including optimized customer journeys, documenting identified policy and procedure gaps and a plan to implement the future state.
- Lead Lean training courses.
- Partner with Business and Function’s Senior Leaders to identify and structure individual Lean projects.
- Contribute to the buildout of our Lean digital training modules used by employees across the enterprise.
- Partner with Businesses and Global Functions to identify opportunities to apply Robotics and build a book of work in line with priorities and the objectives of the Services Strategy: 2020. In addition to being able to work with and influence Senior Management, this will require a commitment to self-study or knowledge share to better understand which technologies are best suited to different use-cases and to translate those into business cases with a clear ROI.
- Provide project reporting as appropriate.
- Coach junior teammates to deliver against agreed timelines and objectives.

Job Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6+ years of work experience with time spent applying Lean or Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Experience in re-engineering controls and doing process risk assessments. Experience in management consulting and/or developing automation solutions for Operations and Services (particularly with Robotics) will be highly valued.
- Strong data analytics capabilities, especially cost analysis and internal/external benchmarking.
- Ability to work effectively with Senior Managers and with large teams across countries, functions and businesses.
- Understanding of the drivers of value, including the ability to size and prioritize large scale initiatives across Businesses and Functions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to structure logical analysis in presentations.
- An in-depth understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
- An understanding of Citi's businesses, the major strategic issues and the Senior Management landscape would be beneficial.
- An undergraduate degree and an MBA (desirable but not required) from a top tier institution.
- PMP or Prince Certification is also desirable but is not required.
- Highly motivated, organized and methodical.
- Logical, analytic and rational thinker.
- Demonstrated team player.
