The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for authoritatively managing the client and associated reference data across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) Markets organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.    This role will be an integral component of the ISG network of teams and support.

This role is for an experienced operational manager with a strong record of accomplishment of delivering high quality service to internal and external clients of a large banking services organization. In addition to the day to day management of the ISG Documentation Operations team. The Ref Data Mgmt Group Mgr is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

Key areas of focus for ISG Documentation Operations will include: 

  • Global Management responsibilities for the ISG Document Operations team; a team in 2 locations (Tampa, Manila) which supports the legal documentation of 70+ Citi legal entities and another team in 3 locations (Tampa, Manila and Poland) which responsible for driving centralization of client documentation across COs and KYC flows within  Document Master Central (DMC).
  • Represent ISG on key Data Governance Forums with the responsibility to monitor the effectiveness of the control framework to maintain contract and data completeness and accuracy
  • Service stakeholders in all regions and across multiple business lines (ICG Markets, Private and Commercial Bank) 
  • Direct management of ~4+ staff
  • Manages complex and highly varying issues with significant potential impact on multiple operations' areas.
  • Lead projects, resolves escalated operations' issues and/ or offer solutions at an advanced level, providing strategic direction for departments managed.
  • Liaises with multiple Operations teams/departments.
  • Serves as analytical and/or procedural expert, representing a unit or team on cross functional processes or project deliverables.
  • Stays abreast of the organization's operational procedures and best practices in business strategy and process/quality improvements; using such knowledge to recommend customized business solutions to internal clients.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in business, planning and analysis for operations area supported.
  • Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level personnel on operational processes/procedures across multiple functions and/or departments.
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and streamline operational processes.
  • Responsible managing overall resource management and allocation of work for assigned operations area for multiple teams/projects
  • Full management responsibility of an Operations department, including management of people, budget and planning.
  • Drives end results of an area and exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning.
  • Engages in short to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area.
  • Manages complex and highly variable issues with substantial departmental/product impact.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications

  • 7- 10 + years of relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of project management experience
  • Ability to Influence and negotiate with senior leaders ; ability to communicate with external parties.
  • Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services
  • Extensive knowledge operational processes and challenges 
  • Demonstrated experience of managing Operational team and People management skills
  • Demonstrated experience of optimization in processes (legal/regulatory adherence an advantage)
  • Proven ability to interpret and implement change
  • Knowledge and experience of the technologies and processes used in Citi and SDLC 
  • Considerable experience of dealing with senior management in a multi-function environment
  • Extensive experience in control/risk, Audit, Compliance or with external regulatory bodies

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
Primary Compensation Basis Range
  • 136,700.00 - 205,050.00 USD Annual
