This position is the Reconciliation and Senior Analyst within the Global Legal Support Business Management Team. The team manages the Global Litigation Accrual recording, tracking and reporting from the Legal Matter Management Systems. The information is considered highly confidential and critical to the data Legal submits to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and RA Credit & Operational Risk Analytics (CORA) for use in Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA) Capital Model and for the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) purposes. Due to the regulatory nature of the function, the team is subject to various audits from internal sources, external sources and regulatory bodies.

This position is essential to enhancing the in-depth analysis of the reconciliation processes for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting requirements and Citi’s Policy and Standards. The skill level requirements comprises of excellent verbal and written communications skills, strong analytical ability, and ability to engage in global interfaces with legal, business and finance teams.

The Reconciliation and Senior Analyst will be accountable for various reconciliation and analytical functions. Ensure that the reports from the Legal Matter Management Systems reconcile to Citi’s financials. Ensure reconciliation processes are properly documented and Blue Works process flows are updated timely and accurately. Identify areas of risk and develop solutions to address the risks. Identify control issues and/or gaps and adequately relay these concerns to management in a concise and precise manner. Review and remediate data quality issues to ensure compliance with Operational Risk reporting standards. Protect sensitive, confidential and legal information and vigilantly ensure that Citi's interests are appropriately considered at all times.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum of 5-8 years related reconciliation and analysis experience
  • Experience in supporting cross regional processes
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications required
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Able to perform with minimal supervision
  • Detail data quality oriented
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be able to perform individually and as part of a team

Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance preferred.
