The Institutional Clients Group (ICG) Operations and Technology Organizational Program Management Office (OPMO), has visibility into the full book of work across ICG O&T. The ICG O&T book of work has programs and projects that are executed on an annual basis driving Citi’s Mission to Be the Best for Our Clients. The OPMO works across all the ICG O&T lines of business to ensure the book of work is executed in an efficient, effective, and controlled manner.

The Role

The ICG O&T Organization Program Management Office (OPMO) has oversight of program and project management governance for all ICG O&T functions. The ICG O&T OPMO has an opening for an Organizational Program Management Office Lead. The candidate will execute a wide range of Book of Work activities related to the governance, monitoring, tracking and reporting. These activities will be in line with our Organizational PMO Charter. The role requires developing a deep knowledge of the Program Management Framework and how it is being applied and leveraged within ICG O&T. The candidate will also actively interface with the ICG O&T Lines of Business as well as with the broader OPMO team.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide governance oversight to the ICG O&T Book of Work through line of business (LOB) engagement including completing monitoring and reviews as specified in the Org PMO Charter
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships with the ICG O&T Function PMOs and Business Unit Managers
  • Develop a strong understanding of the ICG O&T Program and Project Management Procedures, as well as the Organizational PMO Charter
  • Complete assessments across Key Initiatives, Critical Milestones, and regulatory driven initiatives
  • Support Health Check and Spot Check reviews
  • Support ICG O&T Project Management community by providing guidance on queries related to PM procedures, processes, and standards
  • Attend Critical Milestone/BOW Review meetings and provide credible challenges, as appropriate
  • Meet bi-weekly with Function PMO to provide the latest information on OPMO oversight processes and activities        
  • Monitor PTS escalation events and work closely with Function PMO in closing escalations timely
  • Gather information from LOBs to complete all required quarterly attestations 
  • Support the annual Key Initiative process by performing a check and challenge on Key Initiatives Inclusion List submitted by LOBs   
  • Support the gathering of information pertaining to recurring reviews performed by the CPMC and/or ad hoc requests    
  • Support LOB audits related to program management and governance, as required
  • Take an active role in improving Book of Work oversight activities by recommending and implementing process improvements   
  • Support other ICG O&T OPMO functions and special projects, as needed

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of work experience in Project Management or PMO role 
  • Possess excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, accuracy, and trend identification 
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of systems development lifecycle concepts (i.e., Waterfall and Agile)
  • Flexibility and business savvy to navigate a complex, highly matrixed organization
  • Undergraduate degree required
