Product Development Manager - GSP Financing and Securitization
Role: Global Spread Products is seeking an experienced Product Development professional, focusing on Wholesale Credit Transformation, which aims to streamline and simplify end-to-end credit risk processes. This person will work closely with others focused on this initiative, across front office, credit risk, finance, operations, technology and other business lines, to help execute strategic goals.
Background: Global Spread Products is the primary source of capital for corporations, governments, and non-profits, providing liquidity and innovative solutions globally across the credit, municipal, and securitized markets. The product development team sits at the intersection of sales, trading, structuring, capital markets origination and technology and is responsible for implementing process improvements, analyzing business requirements, translating user needs into functional specifications and realizing senior management's vision. Responsibilities also include defining the system scope and leading process changes from requirements through implementation. Our team oversees a wide array of front office systems including pricing and risk, trade capture, inventory management, origination, securitization, electronic trading, database management, as well as business intelligence and reporting.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide leadership within the Product Development team and represent Global Spread Products in cross-functional working groups
Partner with Wholesale Credit Transformation teams across other business lines, the credit risk organization, finance, operations and technology
Assess technology offerings, find synergies and best in class features that can be applied consistently across various lines of business, promoting consistency and enhanced data quality
Help define on the proposed target state architecture ensuring that they align to business needs, resolving problems identified in existing disparate processes
Provide meaningful feedback on input received from other working group stakeholders, developing a consensus on key business requirements
Ensure all requirements are clearly documented, approved and developed per specification
Work with in-business partners to ensure successful adoption and implementation are achieved
Present senior management with proposed strategies and updates
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidate is required to have a BA/BS
10+ years’ experience in project management, technology or business consulting, with leadership or management roles.
Experience leading large-scale cross functional transformation projects related to lending and/or credit risk
Deep knowledge of the credit lifecycle for banking book products
Ability to work in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines with changing priorities
Experience with SQL, database management and business intelligence tools is preferred
Articulate, polished presenter with excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Must have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and inquisitive with an interest in financial markets
Proven track record as change agent, with ability to encourage and embrace innovative ideas and solutions
