The Performance Management team is responsible for all aspects of the cyclical Performance Management process at Citi including goal setting, feedback, mid-year and year-end process.  The corporate team creates, revises, and monitors all of these activities.  Goal Setting sets strategic direction for the year and aligns individual performance with business strategy.  Feedback is a year-round process in which employees and their managers can solicit feedback on performance.  Mid-Year provides the structured opportunity for managers and employees to review progress against stated goals and leadership.  Year-end provides a review and overall goal and leadership assessment of an employee’s performance for the full year. 

The Performance Management Data Analyst is a mid-level professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and work-flow for data management. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new monitoring techniques.
  • Conducts strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications and make strategic recommendations, develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analysis.
  • Delivers analytics initiatives to monitor areas of performance management with the ability to identify data required, and assess time & effort required.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Liaises with the business, HR Advisors etc. to identify areas of opportunity and provides recommendations for ways to increase self-service.
  • Partners closely with HR Advisors, HR Professional Services, HR Shared Services, and HR Reporting to deploy and execute on processes and reporting
  • Analyzes and provides insights into efficient and impactful processes
  • Gains organizational knowledge and skills to deliver quality Performance Management outcomes

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in working/analyzing with large data sets preferred (big data experience a plus)
  • Ability to effectively use complex analytical, interpretive and problem solving techniques
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Workday Experience (a plus but not required)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
