The Cyber Risk Officer I (Vice President) is a strategic professional who closely follows latest technology and cybersecurity trends in the field and adapts them for application within the bank. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external clients. Accountable for significant and direct business results while maintaining risk within appetite. Role necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Responsible for task management across various programs.

Responsibilities

•    Manage program-level tasks, especially in the Wholesale Credit Risk business, with a host of participants and stakeholders while guiding analytical efforts on complex issues. Drive outcomes and recommendations of projects into global lines of  business
•    Establish and oversee the application of operational risk policies, technology, tools, and governance processes to create lasting solutions that minimize losses from failed internal processes, inadequate controls, and emerging risks
•    Develop and review publications & briefings of technology and cybersecurity issues & events which could impact Business, Technology and/or Operations
•    Independently work on credible challenge of the First Line of Defense’s criteria, tools and methodologies used for technology and cybersecurity risk assessment & mitigation controls
•    Serve as an authority for analysis and production of intelligent risk assessments, controls, and monitoring
•    Support intelligence production within the Risk organization, producing strategic intelligence products and threat forecasts, and serve as a liaison to the First Line of Defense’s intelligence components
•    Review analytical products such as scorecards that drive planning and the production cycle
•    Guide decisions by policy, business and client groups concerning major risks and issues
•    Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation, and safeguarding the firm’s clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
•    Adhere to published policies by applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices
•    Comfort with escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications

•    7+ years of relevant technology and/or risk experience
•    Knowledgeable about current & emerging technology and cybersecurity trends
•    Exposure to capital markets (e.g., sales & trading) preferred
•    Best-in-class written and verbal communication
•    Ability to operate under pressure and tight timelines
