  • The Loan Ops Project Manager is a seasoned professional role within Citi’s institutional Loans Operations organization.  The candidate will work with the Project Management team on a program to transform Loans operational functions through the implementation of new governance, controls, process optimizations and technology solutions.  This individual will partner with stakeholders within the Front and Middle Office, Risk, Legal and IT on various initiatives to achieve these objectives, functioning as a business analyst or project manager depending on the scope and size of the assigned deliverables.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Work with business and operations to understand objectives and spear head planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running projects and programs to accomplish them.
    • Identify and work with key stakeholders to formulate and define the scope, objectives and deliverables for upcoming projects and work with stakeholders to obtain the necessary approvals
    • Document requirements and develop project plans and other artifacts and agree on milestones and timelines with operations counterparts and senior management
    • Manage changes to scope, milestones and timelines throughout the Lifecyle of each project
    • Communicate progress and escalate to senior management as needed to ensure deliverables remain on target and risks are mitigated
    • Oversee program level reporting that provides divisional management with updates on progress, accomplishments, risks and issues of all in-flight Loans operations initiatives
    • Drive adherence to processes, procedures, methods, and standards across the program.

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience, preferably within a financial services firm
  • Demonstrate a consistent track record of having worked as a program/project management, consulting, technology and/or management within a PMO team
  • Proven experience in understanding client service delivery or in implementing operational enhancements
  • Demonstrate strong business knowledge, including the understanding of core businesses, supporting processes and operations.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to liaise with different levels of seniority within the firm
  • Loan industry experience preferred
  • CAPM, PMP, PgMP and/or equivalent course work in Project Management are preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
