ICG Controls & Reporting, Expense & Headcount Mgr - Vice President
ICG O&T Control and Reporting is a strategic risk management organization that is integral to ensuring ICG Operations and Technology have the appropriate controls, oversight and reporting in place across all products, processes and systems to fully protect the Firm.
Within ICG O&T Control and Reporting, the Business Management Office is responsible for the group’s ongoing planning, administrative and organizational development activities. These include management of the Financial, Headcount, Real Est ate and Vendor Management Planning Processes; as well as providing ongoing support to the ICG Operations & Technology Control & Reporting Leadership Team.
The Business Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a professional team or department. The team drives the overall administrative activities of the business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Manager coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary. Manages ad hoc projects as needed. The role is focused on the Financial Planning and Analysis of the org. The Manager is a senior professional position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of Citi’s financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to manage professional team(s)/department(s) and apply analytical thinking/knowledge of data analysis methodologies to create and analyze reports that gauge Citi’s alignment with forecasted performance.
Review and analyze flash results/highlights
Drive MYF and Annual Budget Processed
Develop and coordinate performance reporting/processes; reviews results against plans monthly
Develop and track headcount and expense forecasts and incorporate results into management reports and decision processes
Provide advice to senior managers on their expense and headcount tracking and the implications of business trends, issues, operating environment changes, and firm/business unit strategy
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Ability to manage teams.
Conduct management activities for a mid-size team such as training, evaluations, hiring, disciplinary actions, and termination of team members
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
6-10 years’ experience in Financial Services, preferably in a Finance, Expense Management, Business Office, Chief of Staff or CAO Role.
Demonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite; basic macro coding experience and proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to facilitate discussions
Demonstrated presentation skills
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills
Analytical ability, strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with Senior Management
A good team player with the ability to multi- task
Knowledge of ICG products and business processes.
Understanding of Corporate Finance processes
Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter
Ability to prioritise is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once.
Must work well under pressure whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working and positive
Desire to improve processes
Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge
Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers
Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
