The successful candidate will be a member of the Reporting and System Operations, Deferred Cash and Awards team in the Equity Compensation Unit. Citi's Equity Compensation Unit is responsible for administration of employee equity award programs, including stock awards, stock options, and Deferred cash programs, in approximately 90 countries. Working with Senior Manager and other Equity Analysts, the Equity and Deferred Compensation Senior Analyst will support the administration of various program life cycle events including the creation of new awards, vestings/payments, termination processing and monthly financial reporting activity.

Key Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Serve as subject matter expert on all components of Deferred cash, including but not limited to vest, payouts, reversals, system integrations  

  • Independently manage, prepare, generate and reconcile the process, deferred cash and stock unit awards ensuring accurate and timely results.

  • Strategize and collaborate with Finance, Executive Compensation, Citicomp and global payrolls on strategies and efficiencies.

  • Ensure compliance with global plan provisions, local regulations and tax authorities.

  • Independently define business requirements and collaborate with the functional team

  • Independently create and analyze reports in order to provide adhoc requests globally utilizing MS Excel, Access and MicroStrategy.

  • Independent  analysis of  data involving complex database structure, reconciliations and  data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality

  • Support all aspects of the Equity Compensation Data Warehouse, including technical change requests for report revisions, testing, reconciliations and training.

  • Independently prepare, generate, reconcile and distribute monthly payroll files globally for the Deferred Cash programs ensuring accurate and timely results.

  • Propose and implement process improvements to achieve efficiencies and/or mitigate risk.

  • Propose recommendations of enhancements, perform and review CERA User Acceptance Testing for new functionality to ensure system is accurate, effective, practical and user friendly. 

  • Perform other job related responsibilities as apparent or assigned

Key Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years’ work experience, International, Finance, Human Resource degree preferred

  • Critical thinking and deep-dive fine-tuned analytical skill set and affinity for metrics and data required. 

  • Must have initiative and ability to thrive in an environment that requires a great deal of flexibility with multiple and changing priorities

  • Attention to detail

  • Solid computer skills essential, proficiency in MS Access or other relational database/report writing tools preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Solid verbal and written communication skills

  • Some accounting experience and a facility for numbers a plus

  • Equity Compensation experience a plus

  • Ability to work and make decisions independently, and as part of a global team.

  • Ability to foster strong relationships and influence partners across the globe.

  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
