Responsibilities
The Information Services Group (ISG) within Citi’s Institutional Clients Group O&T (ICG O&T) organization is looking for a resource to join its data management team. ISG is a service-centric organization focused on digitizing ICG’s products/services, driving out manual work, delivering world-class client experience, and enabling growth via scalability.
The Data Quality and Governance organization within ISG is responsible for driving data architecture to deliver front to back design, identify gaps, and implement a robust governance framework across ICG. A key focus is on Data Quality including Completeness, Accuracy and Timeliness across data flows. The function is responsible for extensive partnering across ICG’s Asset Classes to drive key initiatives and associated deliverables for the data strategy and manage change with the right governance frame. The function and role spans the ICG organization, and as a result, requires strong engagement with relevant teams.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leadership role within data analyst team involved in data quality initiatives spanning ICG and global functions.
- Manage program business critical milestones, including status reporting and initial creation / maintenance.
- Maintain project resource allocations and reporting.
- Excellent analytical thinking and data analysis skills.
- Persuades and influences others through communication and diplomacy skills.
- Verifies team adherence to control and risk implementations as well as standards and process changes.
- Identifies scope and impact of project risks and issues; raises and resolves issues.
- Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
- Directly impacts the project leadership area through shared responsibility for delivery of end results and contribution to planning and budget management.
- Translating business requirements into applicable Data Quality standards and rules across front, middle and back-office transactions.
- Working with cross functional teams to develop, test, implement and maintain data quality rules covering the trade life cycle across Markets data.
- Analyzing data quality exceptions to identify root cause and business impact for data quality issues raised.
- Enhancing data quality process automation, governance, and reporting.
- Preparing and presenting written and verbal updates to senior management.
- Ensuring adherence to best practices supporting Citi's Program, Project, and Data Management Standards
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in data-focused initiatives across Pre-Trade/Post-Trade activities such as RFQ, Order/Executions, Trades, MTM, Positions, etc.
- Strong relationship management skills required including partnering with internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.
- Exposure to Capital Markets is beneficial.
- Experience working with Database, Reporting/Analytics.
- Experience in Issue tracking and governance with systems like JIRA / HPQC is a plus.
- Proven stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
- Data and Results oriented with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage competing priorities while delivering results quickly and efficiently.
- Exceptional level of motivation and diligence coupled with excellent communication skills (verbal and written), as well as strong relationship building skills.
