About Our Team:

Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) provides the critical technical foundation for Citi’s operations and is responsible for delivering reliable IT solutions, scalable infrastructure services, and secure capabilities while creating a trusted customer experience and enabling Citi’s workforce to be the best for our clients. The Engineering Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition and development of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform system and application monitoring, capacity planning and systems tests to ensure products meet performance requirements

  • Evaluate technologies, develop prototypes, contribute to design issues, and implement solutions

  • Work with various internal and external teams to identify and resolve problems

  • Consult with end users and clients to identify and correct systems problems or propose solutions

  • Assist in the development of software and systems tools used by integration teams to create end user packages

  • Provide support for operating systems and in-house applications, including third party applications, as needed

  • Perform coding, analysis, testing or other appropriate functions in order to identify problems and propose solutions

  • Adhere to Citi technology standards, audit requirements and corporate compliance issues and requirements

  • Apply knowledge of engineering procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to day to day activities

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role

  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment

  • Project Management experience

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices

  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills

  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams

  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements

  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Core Apps Build design engineer will provide technology and engineering solutions. The position requires the engineer to work closely with Developers, Enterprise Architects and Operational staff from around the globe to provide a standardized set of applications that comprise the desktop environment within Citi. Released semi-annually, the Convergence Build defines the baseline set of applications which are required on every PC across all regions. Each of the components within the builds are tested both individually and collectively as one unit to ensure interoperability.

Our success is based upon open collaboration between engineering and operational teams.

The Core Apps Build is a set of standards and a process which ensures consistency within Citi's platform build and maintenance process.

The Core Apps Build design Engineer will also be responsible for lab management of test devices.

Goals for the release management process are to:

1. Provide clear communication to support groups as to which horizontal packages make up a “Core Apps Build”.
2. Provide cyclic and systematic release cycles of these products (Core Apps Build).
3. Provide full QA test results for each build.
4. Provide clear upgrade instructions from one Core Apps build release to the next.
5. Provide a single point of reference for defining, changing, and resolving issues for all Core Apps.

The Release Management process provides a structured development and release model which oversees the process from beginning to end. The collection of standard components is treated as one assembly and progresses in a steadfast fashion from one build version to the next.

1. Formal roadmap planning sessions to refine/lock roadmaps and release schedules

2. Track milestones against release plan in roadmap

3. Track build testing

4. Develop communications and release updated build

5. Report against build versions in production

6. Process guides & automation enforcing standards

7. Identify EOL / unsupported environments and push to remediate
