Responsibilities
Citi’s Chief Administrative Office (CAO) was established in 2020 to oversee the Company’s project management of large regulatory remediation programs and to lead transformation efforts. The CAO has now been absorbed into a new Chief Operating Office (COO). The COO is at the center of a multi-billion-dollar transformation that will shape the future of the company over the coming years.
The COO Transformation Program Management Quality Assurance (QA) function ensures that Transformation processes and procedures are followed and consistently applied. The organization leverages the results of QA reviews to assess the quality of the group’s adherence to procedures that govern Transformation processes. The results of the QA process help management to identify operational weaknesses, Transformation risks, training needs, and process deficiencies.
The Transformation Program Management QA Lead will be responsible for the ongoing execution and delivery of assigned QA processes and will manage a team of QA Analysts. This role will report directly to the Head of Transformation Program Management QA.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of Transformation Program Management QA Procedures for assigned processes
- Support the establishment and/or continuous improvement of Transformation QA policies, procedures, risk assessments and controls to drive effective QA coverage and standards
- Lead a team of Transformation Program Management QA analysts responsible for the execution of:
- Consistent and objective assessments during QA Reviews (QARs)
- Subsequent follow-up on corrective actions that were raised during QARs
- Synthesize and prepare quarterly QARs for Transformation Program Management that communicate and measure results and identify negative trends and potential solutions
- Provide oversight and guidance over the assessment of complex issues, structure potential solutions and drive effective resolution with stakeholders
- Support recruitment and training activities for the Transformation Program Management QA organization
- Update and create QAR templates to be leveraged as part of the QA process
- Interact with senior management to ensure that QA protocols are adequate
- Act as a change agent, coaching staff in areas with noted deficiencies and sharing any observed best practices
- Ensure ongoing and timely feedback and coaching of QA staff
- Support the Head of Transformation Program Management QA on internal projects and initiatives
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience preferably in the financial services industry, including Program Management or Internal Audit
- 7+ years experience in people management
- Experience working with global teams in designing and executing a program management QA framework, including the initial assessment of concerns and monitoring strategy, execution of scripts and procedures, reporting observed findings, and continuous improvement
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in driving positive and sustained change as a Quality Assurance professional, internal auditor, or regulator
- Strong grasp of program management processes to evaluate findings within a QA process, determine materiality, and partnering with in-line makers and checkers for ongoing improvement, problem detection, and sustainable remediation
- Experience in preparing presentations for senior management
- Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally
- Ability to independently and effectively work across all levels of management
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred
