Citi Transformation Analytics, Governance and Communications VP

Citi is in full steam ahead in our Transformation. This effort relates to the definition of the target state for Citi’s operating model, risk and controls and the plan to achieve it. One part of this effort relates to the Consent Order but it goes well beyond that.  It also relates to the infrastructure we need to serve our clients in the digital world.  It is about leapfrogging the competition!

Citi Finance Transformation group is a recent established team within the firm responsible for providing oversight, standards and central reporting in support of Citi’s Transformation programs leads, sponsors and groups to ensure that we meet our targets. Think about it as an internal consulting Citi team.

The candidate will work with Global and Regional Transformation teams from the different programs to monitor investment spend, analyze it and generate KPIs needed to ensure the return on investment are aligned with the firms’ Transformation efforts . Execution analytics and benefits realization tracking is a key component of the role.

The position requires understanding of Project management and Financial Planning combined with a solid conceptual / practical grounding of the Bank Functions and Businesses, an Agile Mindset and the ability to work on a constantly changing environment

In addition, this role will also be responsible for proactively developing, aligning and executing communication plans that deliver consistent and effective messaging around the objectives of the Transformation programs. The role implies a significant degree of exposure with Senior Management 


Independently manage regional and global projects/strategy (PMO)

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders and Global counterparts to drive planning and execution of finance Transformation Business deliverables, mainly follow up to the Citi-Wide Investment tracking communication and governance
  • Perform detailed synthesis of data to design meaningful KPISs, this would include creation and analysis of potential base/best scenarios and tracking
  • Identify milestones and key enablers for successfully implementing initiatives outlined by global strategy and leadership teams
  • Perform detailed synthesis of data available to present meaningful findings to management and Senior Management teams

Develop bespoke communications to highlight insight and analysis

  • Impeccable communication skills (presentations) since there is exposure to Cross Sub-Portfolio Group, the Transformation Steering Committee and Citi’s Transformation Oversight Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Expertise in properly communicating roadblocks across strategic programs and being able to help identify opportunities to solve them 
  • Bespoke analysis and  reporting (ad hoc as well as standard reporting)

Support development of analytics and data-related analysis tools

  • Partner with relevant stakeholders across business and functions to ensure alignment of data, design and maintain desired functionality if needed
  • Work with partners to provide access to data to target audience


Knowledge and experience requirements

  • B.A. or B.Sc in Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics/Engineering/Sciences/Social Sciences
  •  MBA / Master’s degree or equivalent an advantage
  • 6-10+ years prior experience in Project Management, Financial Planning, Investment Evaluation or Consulting

Skill requirements

  • Very strong communication and presentation skills (use of PowerPoint similar to consulting level )
  • Project Management Skills
    • Ability to structure and drive projects from idea to completion
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
    • Advanced Proficiency in Excel; proficiency in coding languages (Python and Java Script) is a plus
  • Agile Mindset
  • Ability to work on a constantly changing environment
