Citi continues to enhance its business control and governance framework by building out Institutional Credit Management (ICM), a new business unit in the 1st Line of Defense, to house and consistently manage Credit Risk activities performed across its Institutional Client Group (ICG) organization.

ICM was established with the objective to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management and monitoring for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

The ICM Issue Management (IM) and Governance team sits within the Chief Administrative Office (CAO) under Business Risk and Controls of ICM. The team supports ICM’s activities related to Corporate Governance including Governance Committees and management forums and governance, oversight, and administration of ICM’s Issue Management activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis, monitoring, and reporting ICM’s performance on Citi Executive Scorecard metrics

  • Develop method to collect YTD ICM accomplishments demonstrating towards Performance Assessment Pillars in the Executive Scorecard

  • Identify ICM’s opportunities for efficient and enhanced IM reporting/processes to improve Executive Scorecard Metrics and ICM’s ability to effectively manage Issues (e.g., trend reporting, QC improvements, forecasting performance)

  • Assist in providing oversight, governance, and monitoring of ICM IM program to drive adherence to and compliance with ICG and Citi IM framework and requirements

  • Provide thought leadership in continually review processes, identify improvements, and establish best practices

  • Build relationships with the various Issues Management and Governance partners across ICG

  • Lead process enhancements efforts engaging where appropriately the other Corporate Issues Management and Governance teams

  • Assist with producing monthly and quarterly reporting and insights on IM program performance and Management Business Reviews to ICM senior executives and leaders

  • Produce and lead ICM-wide info shares and communications to raise awareness and knowledge of IM processes, lifecycle, platform and enhancements

  • Create and update ICM IM SharePoint site for Issue and CAP Owners

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in Financial Services in Business Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance, and/or governance and control
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid problem-solving skills; ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details

  • Ability to not only analyze data, but to provide insights, summary, and strategic recommendations

  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization and across different geographic locations

  • A proactive and “no surprises” approach in communicating issues

  • Range of experience demonstrating flexibility in skillset and approach

  • Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
