Vice President Research Salesperson

Locations: Sydney, New South Wales Job Function: Institutional Sales Employee Status: Regular Job ID: 20201652

This new role entails managing institutional client relationships and responsibility for the marketing and distribution of research, corporate access, and research ideas.  The role will also be directly involved in raising new equity for companies engaged by the Investment Bank, and acting as an intermediary in trading for clients. The overall objective is to represent Citigroup’s resources as a strategic advisor to our clients.


Responsibilities:

  • Refine and implement a sales/marketing strategy to improve Citi's client footprint and maximize revenue from a group of Institutional accounts.
  • Engage with Institutional Clients to understand their needs, and engage with Citigroup’s products to maximize revenue.
  • Refine and implement a sales/marketing strategy and allocate resources to maximize revenue from a group of Institutional accounts.
  • Work as a partner within a large team of sales, sales traders, analysts and investment bankers to improve the whole business.
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Maintain a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of sales experience at a financial services organization
  • Experience in a client-facing role working on either the buy-side or sell side of the equities community
  • Broad client relationships preferred
  • Must have or be able to obtain required licenses including Series 3, 7, 55 and 63

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
