SVP, Head of Cards Portfolio Management

Locations: Sydney, New South Wales Job Function: Business Analysis Employee Status: Regular Job ID: 20214509

The Card Portfolio Head is responsible for managing a broad range of card lending products, setting the pricing strategy and optimizing the risk and returns of the Cards portfolio.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g. performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
  • Strengthen value proposition of credit card lending product which is relevant/appealing to our target segments and benefits both the Bank & our business partners
  • Develop/implement new product innovations which drive spend and revenues.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing the pricing strategy for Cards.
  • Working with cross functional stakeholder including, e.g. risk management, fraud unit, legal and compliance to optimize risk and return of the portfolio.
  • Drive new initiatives to automate processes and operations, enhance functions to improve overall efficiency
  • Coordinate and work with cross-functional teams to implement business strategy smoothly

Qualifications:

  • Over 10 years working experience in banking and financial industry in Credit Cards Lending or Personal Installment Lending business
  • Strong financial acumen and full understanding of Credit Cards P&L
  • Experience in a portfolio management role
  • Working knowledge of Credit Card Systems or Risk Management experience would be a definite plus
  • Strong business acumen and project management skills
  • Highly analytical with strong numeric sense
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Ability to work unsupervised and adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
