It includes equity and fixed income research, economic and market analysis and product-specific analysis to help individual and institutional clients navigate a complex global marketplace.

Citi Research currently have an opportunity available for an experienced Business Unit Manager to join the team. This role will be a senior member of the business and partner closely with the senior business leaders, as well as with local and regional business management teams to ensure alignment of business goals. These can include tracking financials, employee headcount, managing external audits and business continuity activities.  

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Assist leadership and stakeholders with developing projects, determining strategies, and defining/providing metrics

  • Advance control framework including executing Manager’s Control Assessment testing, operational loss processes, and corrective actions

  • Prepare materials, record minutes, and follow-up as needed on items for business committees and/ or regular business meetings

  • Seek out sources, track, consolidate and analyse ad-hoc and regular business requests

  • Drive implementation of business-driven projects across functions, working closely with relevant senior leadership

  • Provide input into and recommend technology change, process improvements and control framework enhancements

  • Seek out and ensure corrective actions are implemented for control related issues and remedial action is taken

  • Attend Country governance councils and prepare materials related to research-related regulatory changes impacting the Australia franchise

  • Work with internal compliance to administer the plan of supervision for Research management in Australia

Skills and experiences required:

  • 6-10 years of experiences with financial markets business or business support

  • Experience with foreign exchange and/or interest rate products preferred

  • Demonstrated expertise of Microsoft Office product suite, basic macro coding experience and proficiency in Microsoft Access and PowerPoint is preferred
