Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) is currently expanding and is looking for a number of motivated individuals. We are building a team of experienced, enthusiastic banking and finance professionals to help drive the growth of the CCB in Australia, by delivering a world class global platform to the MME segment of Australian corporates ($250mil - $1bn turnover). Job Purpose:

The CCB KYC and On-Boarding Specialist is a key member of the Australian CCB business and is primarily responsible for supporting the relationship management team for all client on-boarding, KYC and account opening processes. 

As the first point of contact for client after the sales process, the specialist will be responsible for ensuring a strong client experience, which is a key focus of CCB and is an integral part of our success.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the on-boarding, KYC initiation/renewal, and account opening processes.

  • Assist with client management, including service, deal monitoring and client due diligence

  • Work with product partners to ensure smooth implementation and ongoing support of clients

  • Support CCB bankers on the day to day management of the CCB client portfolio including reporting, business presentations, regional project initiatives and other adhoc business management requirements

  • Manage the various internal systems including CRM, onboarding portal, TTS Siebel etc.

  • Maintain understanding of local financial markets, banking industry and regulations and their impact on clients

  • Continuously learn about competition and be able to provide input on new business initiatives

  • Identify prospective clients for new business initiatives

  • Assist support bankers on for all inquiries and act as a secondary escalation point for all service inquires

  • Ensure AML/Compliance reviews are completed within policy time frames for all names in defined in the client portfolio

  • Build Citi credit policy knowledge and understand how it is applied to client transactions

Key skills and experiences required:  

  • Finance or business undergraduate degree advantageous (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of the KYC process, account documentation, and account opening processes
  • Client facing experience (either face-to-face or via telephone)
  • Understanding of Banking products: Loans, FX, Derivatives, Cash Management, Trade is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets and Corporate and Structured Finance products
  • Ability to work within a matrix organisation and partner effectively with product partners and Banking colleagues

  • Ability to understand application of new products or services quickly and effectively
  • Self-motivated, highly ambitious and goal oriented
  • Client first attitude and respect for compliance and control
  • Strong communication (both written & verbal) and presentation skills
