The Product Communications Manager in a key strategic role within the Cards Retail Partnership Team. The role focuses on CVP-related marketing throughout the customer lifecycle and has accountability to drive customer growth, revenue and minimise expenses by optimizing communications for the Coles and Virgin Money Australia (VMA) credit card products. It has secondary responsibility for internal oversight of all communications relating to the Coles and VMA credit cards, ensuring a consistent and on-brand tone-of-voice for each.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop CVP communication and offer strategy for Coles & VMA, gaining buy in from internal Stakeholders as well as our Partners;
  • Full responsibility for the end-to-end execution of the agreed strategy including: working with Partner marketing teams to ensure brand alignment, preparing communications, managing approvals in line with Citi processes and controls, managing activity and data extract briefs outlining business/communication objectives and strategy, target audience, deliverables, offer, test objectives;
  • Results tracking and analysis, including providing recommendations to optimise
  • Work with the Usage, Instalments and Retention teams to ensure consistency of messaging and management of contact strategy and campaign timings for portfolio communications
  • Coordinate Partner Portfolio Marketing Forums, presenting campaign PIRs and go-forward strategy alongside the Usage, Instalments and Retention teams
  • Build relationships and partner with cross-functional teams including Digital Sales/Customer Engagement/Brand/Acquisition/Decision Management/Digital teams to deliver and meet campaign objectives
  • Collaborate with CVP marketing managers on other brands to knowledge-share, develop best-practice approaches and drive efficiencies
  • Contribute to shaping new ideas, strategic thoughts and initiatives to drive customer engagement and loyalty
  • Manage the sending of all legal/regulatory required communications, including Variation Notices and Annual Reminders
  • Manage all finance-related matters including accruals, PO requisition, invoicing and budget tracker
  • Identify and implement improvements to current processes
  • Adhere to Compliance and Control policies and procedures: TCF development and approval, ensuring all campaigns are accompanied by AB and Workfront approvals

Key Competencies:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Marketing, preferably within financial services
  • Experience in cards or personal loans portfolio management an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of strategic direction of the function within the business as well as a solid conceptual/practical grounding in function and/or area of expertise
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and drive to deliver high-quality customer campaigns
