Performance and Post Trade Compliance
The role
As a Performance Analytics and Post-Trade compliance Analyst, you will be required to cover the following functions:
Performance Analytics
Being responsible for the production, verification and communication of all performance activities based upon client requirements as well as producing other periodic client reports. You will also be responsible for understanding and ensuring the accuracy of the data.
Post-Trade Compliance
Assisting in post-trade compliance, covering the monitoring of the portfolio investment and transactional activities, to ensure Fund Managers comply with regulatory and client-mandated investment guidelines. You will be responsible in ensuring all client reporting is completed accurately and on a timely basis. As our fund managers invest in a broad range of instruments, you should be equipped with some knowledge in various financial securities products.
You will work closely with our clients, Client Executives, Product Managers and offshore operation team to ensure timely and accurate performance and risk reporting.
Responsibilities:
Producing, reviewing and validating performance and post-trade compliance reports
Creating customized reporting based upon client requirements. Ensuring accurate and correct interpretation of guidelines and the creation of relevant rules in the compliance monitoring system
Reviewing and maintaining accurate compliance rules across all fund types, in accordance with Investment guidelines or compliance parameters provided by client / fund manager
Leading or participating in department projects ensuring their completion
Assisting in new client onboarding and implementations
Reviewing, updating and implementing new processes and procedures where needed to enhance operational controls. Providing proper documentation of reported exceptions and following up with the Fund Manager/Client
Assisting the Product Area with client presentations to current or prospective clients
Performing quality control review on team members’ work
Supporting testing of new features/functionality for new platforms
Being responsible for interfacing with index vendors and following up with the business support team in the system setup
Providing feedback on the vendor system quality/functionality
Assisting in the training of new staff and helping your Manager determine the training schedule based upon current production needs
Attending Client queries
Other duties as assigned by Manager
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (example: macro, filtering, pivot tables, etc.)
Working knowledge of StatPro/FactSet/MIG21 functionality
Sound knowledge of performance, attribution methods and risk measurement
Sound knowledge of ex-ante and ex-post risk reporting (highly regarded)
Working knowledge of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS)
Knowledge of the end-to-end view of the overall performance reporting process
Advanced knowledge of all asset classes
Working knowledge of accounting systems
Competencies:
Able to communicate effectively at all levels
Strong analysis and problem solving abilities
Capable of working well under pressure whilst handling various tasks
Organized with a high level of attention to detail
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Business related field
5-7 years of performance analysis experience in financial services
CFA and CIPM (desirable)
